I purchased this Item from an Estate Sale. There was an arrowhead collection in the sale that was out of my budget but I was on the lookout for other artifacts that the Estate Sale company might have overlooked. I found this down in the basement workshop of the house (accounting for the paint drip). I know little about stone artifacts but I am hopeful that this may be genuine, hoping the folks on here can provide some insight.

Natives were known to use them though. Evident often by a high degree of polish in the divot.
 

that was my exact thought we have found many Omar stones here in minnesota
 

Nice. Or the cup may have acted like a 3rd hand. Great to hold things when you work with wood and stone.
 

I think is a nutcracker socket holds nut, tap nut with another stone and there you go. Have seen them labeled with other names.
