Hello Everyone:

I have a rock and am wondering if it might be something besides a weird rock. I have never seen one worn like this before. Anyone have any idea if its natural or some sort of tool? It was found in an old house so I can't say with 100% certainty where it came from. Its likely from Nova Scotia. Also it has some remains of marine life on it. Its likely it came up in a scallop drag based on some of the other rocks that were with it. The ruler in the photo is in inches.

Need more close up pics but it Looks like a cool rock or Fossilized animal bone?

Possibly a well worn shark tooth?

Based on size its a Megalodon sharks tooth

I don't think it is a meg tooth(I have a lot of them) It is close to the right shape but no cigar. It's a cool find:thumbsup:

Need a lot more pics different angles in natural light

Definitely not a Meg Tooth. They stated it had marine life in it so it's most likely just a weathered piece of Limestone. It will erode into a lot of odd shapes.

Yeah, it really is remindful of a shark tooth, but there's no tooth enamel. It might be more then "just a rock", but we would need more photos....

Thanks for the replies so far. I'll take some photos of the edges if that helps.
