I bought these two amazing relics from Andy Keyser of Gettysburg Relics. His relics come with a hand signed letter of provenance, so I know they are what he says they are. I know there are a ton of "Gettysburg" relics out there that are neither from Gettysburg, nor are they relics, so I was happy with the signature.
First up is a bullet with some killer provenance. This bullet was found on Little Round Top, in Gettysburg, by a Union soldier (last name McPherson) during a reunion. It was kept in his family for a long time, before being sold to Mike Mancuso, who sold it to Andy. Ever since I have watched the movie Gettysburg, I have longed to touch something from Little Round Top. Now, I own something from Little Round Top!

Next, we have a .69 Cal. roundball recovered from Poffenbergers woods in Antietam. The section of woods was occupied by Hookers First Corps. I am trying to narrow down which regiments carried what kind of muskets in this area. My 3x great uncle Daniel Trautman fought at Antietam, along Snavelys Ford. I would like to acquire something from there next. The roundball was dug in August 1956, and was a part of the Wentworth Military Academy collection. The academy was founded in 1880, and the entire collection was sold at auction in the summer of 2008.
