Asian Art Markings

Is there anyone here on the Treasurenet forums that has any knowledge regarding Japanese / Chinese writing? I acquired a set of four paintings mounted in bamboo frames that appear to be old and are painted on what I think is silk. They have Asian writing on them. I would like to know if the writing is the artist signature, scene description, Japanese or Chinese origin, etc. Below are pictures of the characters that appear on each one of the four. Thanks in advance for any help that anyone would like to share.
