Thanks Red!! The area was once the site of a Roman Fort and there are also burial mounds nearby.

Well, in that case I'll need to do a deep search also....perhaps a more archaeological check too.

There is another thread, we dowsed maps with known Bronze Age sites, from the UK (?) I'm thinking that is the country. You may want to look because the maps were marked much the same, as what is now being posted here (deep search). Recent feedback (PMs) the archaeologists had already identified many of the sites in the area. Checking out then a couple new spots, old Roman roof tiles were found, identifying new places archaeologists had missed.

Here is general definitions for marked spots from my file.

Red line box (or solid filled circles) for very deep coins/treasure or artifacts of value.
Green line box (or solid filled circles) for various other targets, mostly archaeological such as old ruins or foundations but especially non-metallic objects like flint arrowheads, bottles, pottery, and carved stone markers.

Thanks to Red and Okie for dowsing this area. Wow - looks like could be productive! Old maps from the late 1880's indicate location of a Roman Fort and early (Bronze Age) settlements in the areas Red and Okie got indicators. May take a while to get to those locations but will report when finds are made.
