AT Gold problem with headphones

Using my AT Gold with headphones and occasionally the sound goes to the detector speaker for a few seconds. I was using Gray Ghosts but switched to Garrett plug headphones and this still happens, annoying. Anybody else ever have this problem?

I also have an AT Gold and have not seen this problem. Take a close look at the headphone connector socket pins on the detector. Perhaps the female pin has been spread and has now become intermittent. You'd be able to test this by gently move the headphone connector side-to-side a little when plugged-in and the detector sounding off. Otherwise, there must be a circuit in the detector that senses when the headphones are connected. I suggest calling Garrett tech support and see what they think. Ed.
