At Pro Coil

I just got my AT Pro this week and was wondering Which Coil is best for water hunting salt water, Lake and rivers. Which coil the stock coil or the 5x8 coil? Please give a reason why. Thanks for your help.

AT Pro will false like crazy in wet sand or salt water. You can turn down sensitivity some but that might not help. It will however work well in freshwater. But all beaches are different, good luck..

The 5x8 coil is the best all around coil but like Sandman says you have tune the ATP down for salt water or it will false a lot and even then it turning down the sensitivity for salt water may not help a lot.

Ive used my at pro in salt water and wet sand in NC every year for the past 3 years on vacation and had no problem with either stock or 5x8 coil in max sensitivity. Only one that was a pain to swing was the NEL tornado coil I had. If your trying to cover a large area I would use the stock one. If its a small area your focusing on then just use the 5x8. Good luck.
