Went out today and had a chance to be a real special day. But the earring is costume the SLQ is dateless and the 52 wheat is corroded. And it's rained here for all of my vacation days so far. Thanks for looking

Does silver wear faster than clad or did they just leave coins in circulation until they were toast?

Standing liberties are known for how easily the date wears off (especially pre 1925 years). Yours looks like it has seen many different hands in its time. i would say yes silver does wear easier then clad. thats why it's only 90% silver, that extra 10 percent was to make the coin stronger.

Great finds! Thanks for sharing...

That SLQ has been in many hands over the years....Still a nice find..

Well since I've never found a standing coin of any kind to me that's better then a good day. Excellent job!

Nice find! Still need to find one of those SLQ. I also need to find a seated, gold coin, confederate buckle, silver bars, etc etc etc!

That is circulation wear on the SLQ. Better than the one I found that was hit by a plow recently.

I feel for ya' Mr. Mackdog. So many ways to get fooled in this business. The other day I got the old double beep of a coin on it's edge. and then saw the edge of a huge silver coin in the hole, a Silver Dollar! Yes! then I pulled out this stupid thing. Wah...wah....wah...

Hey! It still beats working! Nice finds.

Silver is silver! Nice finds!
I have a silver dime...that's all I can tell you about it. It looks like a snow plow scrapped both sides off it.
Also have a LC....toasted, no date!
We all get junk bling, but hey! Your right it "could" have been a FANTASTIC DAY! Usually happens when you lest expect it, surprises the bee gee's out of you. G L. HH!

I'm related to Murphy, so I'll zip bag the detector and go any how, when I get back...the sun comes out! :dontknow:
