I purchased an At Pro from Big boys hobbies also. Bart was so helpful, my wife purchased my Christmas gift (pro pointer) from him. I also recommended a friend buying his grandson his 1st detector to contact Bart. With his customer service I will look to him to supply my detecting needs/wants from now on. I hope you enjoy your At Pro as much as I have.

Bart is the go to guy,, I've had mine a few weeks now,, if you didn't purchase the 5x8 coil, you gotta get one, Bart said it was good on separation and man he wasn't wrong,, I dig more keepers than weepers, you'll also find the recovery speed of this machine in pro mode is fast,, just learn the language of this machine and you'll appreciate it,,,,

Anybody tried using the Iron Audio to help detect those streaks of black sand? Seems legit that it would work. Obviously it won't say "black sand ahoy," but it'll put out a nice low drone if there's enough Iron ya think?

I've got the ATG and I'm betting that it'll pick up the black sand if its enough. I've got some washes by me and I'll try it there. I'll get my detector back next week and I'll let ya know.

Right on I'd appreciate it. I'm in WA State and the ground is so damn cold, I'm not in the mood to be hiking by some frozen river looking for black sand underneath the snow. How I haven't just put some in a mason jar for testing purposes I'll never know. Will though this summer, that's for damn sure!!
