Hey all,

Went out today to a place I thought I had hunted out but after digging iffy signals and going a LOT slower I found 5 more IH's (including my oldest coin to date 1895), 4 wheaties (all from 1919 believe it or not), some newer coins, a brooch missing a gem, a rolled Madison, WI zoo penny, an odd looking tool of some kind and an old token? I'll post the token and tool thing on the what am I forum.

Congrats on your finds!! I'm glad to hear you're having such good luck with your AT Pro! I just bought the AT Pro as my 1st MD a couple of weeks ago and today I found my first wheat penny. A 1944s. Of all places it was 4 feet from my bbq grill! I'm hoping once I get out to some of the old parks here I'll make some exciting finds too!! An Indian head penny would blow me away! Thanks for sharing your finds!

HH keep em coming!

Thanks McClod (nice name btw),

I juts got my AT Pro a month ago and didn't find my first Indian head until last weekend and now I have 14 of them. I did have to give away 4 of them to the land owner as I couldn't talk him into taking some cash for his share of the loot. Oh well 10 IH's in my collection is still awesome and I have pics of all of them. I may have OCD but I have a ledger of all my finds to date starting last year when I was introduced to this hobby.

nice finds congrats HH

Nice finds ... but remember this , it's not just the AT Pro but also YOU cause you're also getting experience with it . Even other brands can produce great finds even in a area you thought was hunted out . If you were there with a concentric coil before then it was the sweep pattern that made you miss these . The now popular DD has a larger footprint and because it does the never found stuff is starting to appear . Not to say you didn't do very well cause obviously you have . But it not just the AT Pro ... it's also the operator . IMHO , Woodstock

Definitely! Agree with everything you just said... Going from the bounty hunter to this is such an extreme... Makes me wonder if I went from the At Pro to a CTX3030 if it would be just as big of a leap. Lovin' the Pro right now though! Next on my list is getting a sand scoop so I can try this puppy in the aqua.

Nice finds Sledgod.

nice i like digging up Indian heads its almost as cool as digging silver :occasion14:

awesome finds!, what #s did they ring in at?

yeah, what VDIs did you get for your IHCs? And also, what did your ground mineralization balance out at?

Nice...that's almost a 1/2 dozen IH Cents in one hunt!

The IH's almost always showed up around 70-77. There wasn't a number that they were always at. The wheaties showed up around 80. The deeper IH's (5-6"s) bounced around a little but they rang in exactly like a Zincoln for the most part (only 2 Zincolns for the three days I hunted this site). My ground balance was around 80. I GB about every 20 minutes or so and the lowest in this yard it got to was a 77 and a high of 83. The nice thing was you knew it was an IH because in pro zero they would be kind of quiet and not a booming signal like a 2 inch deep zinc lincoln. Enjoy!

I've only been using Pro coins mode for a few weeks now; when I first got it I used standard coins mode, then I started using pro coins mode to sort of home in on a target, now I use pro coins mode all the time. Isn't pro zero mode the all metal mode? I just can't do that here in my neighborhood, there is sooooo much junk in the dirt here. Might give it a shot in some of the quieter areas I go to, though.

I do the same thing when I'm in a really trashy area. This place had trash but not to the point where it was annoying. Pro zero just seems to react faster to me instead of it spending time trying to quiet out the trash. Personal preference I guess.

AT Pro Indian Head magnet!

Thanks Sledgod2 for the compliment on my name!

It's a variant of an older name used back in my paragliding days, I always liked McCloud and the name was perfect for paragliding so I used McCloud9.
After digging up my first 10 or so signals, McCLOD seemed natural hahaha.

You must be near a pretty old area to have found so many old IH pennies so far! Good work! I haven't approached any home owners yet for permission to MD yet but have an old community center near me I'm going to ask about MD'ing there! Good idea on the ledger of your finds! I've heard others do that and think it is a great idea! I should start one myself, my memory isn't what it used to be! Would be nice to look back and see what was found what year and date etc. Great job on so many cool finds so early in your detecting career! One great thing about this hobby is you never know what is going to turn up next!! Learning the AT Pro has been interesting for me, every time I use it I learn something new! Good luck in your future hunts!
