With the latest trouble with the early production of my AT PRO it is going back to Garrett for the final time. I will send off the whole thing including earphones, shafts and manual and receive a brand new one. This is excellence customer service that we will all appreciate. Mine started squealing like a newborn piglet in all 3 of the PRO modes. If any of you have ever heard a piglet squeal, you'll know what I mean. :thumbsup:

Quite a few of these have done this by what I have read. Also I have seen three units that have had the battery holder split on the end and not hold the battery's in place .
Their seems to be some more growing pains coming out with these machines.
But Garrett seems to be on top of this and getting everyone fixed up.

Yes but it sure does get "discouraging " one thing after another.........

the piggy is cute :laughing9: great video :headbang: and garrett does have great customer service, its actually a pleasure doing business with them.

Sandman, you've had some bad luck there, but the good news is that Garrett's is going to try to make it right. Don't give up on the AT-Pro yet.

For what it's worth... I've got one of the early ones, and it's as solid as a rock. No craziness at all, and I've tried to reproduce what ya'll have been experiencing.
Knock on wood... {Probably just jinxed myself}

Sadly, mine is going back today as well. I was wading in about chest deep water when the detector absolutely started going nuts....yes, similar to a piglet squeal. When I brought it out of the water, the meter was fogged over. Guess it leaked......
