AT PRO/ Need advice on changing the mainboard

Hello everyone! Looks like my friend had a shortcircuit in his at pro. He is looking for a new mainboard. Thinks it could be cheaper to order it directly from the US. Asked me to write here in hope someone from our US colleagues had a similar problem and changed the board or could give advice on where to look up a new board. Any help/advice appreciated!

I would contact Garrett directly, however, I doubt very much that they will send you a new pc board.

I have my doubts that Garrett will ship out a new main board but I could be wrong.

First try Garrett then try Ebay for a new Motherboard. You can look at the post that has the AT Pro Light Mod if you need to see the inside of the machine before digging in yourself.

Garrett might not want to give away a board, but it won't hurt to ask. They aren't Tesoro.

Most manufacturers do not sell parts, especially internal parts. I would be surprised if they sent it...Maybe you get lucky but I suspect you will have to send it in for repair..
