I am really becoming a fan of small coils, especially for in the junk laden surf area of beaches.

Went back to this small corner of a large beach. This area is loaded with crap and I think most avoid it.

I already took 25 or so good targets out of this 5x20 area. By good I mean non modern coins and jewelry.

My snake came today so I took it out for a quick hunt, a little over a hour long.

Besides these oldies I also found 4 modern coins and a bunch of nails etc.

Hopefully tomorrow I can hit another junk filled area.

The swim tag is dated 1902. A nice variety of early 1900's coins.

Thanks for sharing your experience with your new coil...

I have one of the snake coils as well and it works great! Amazing to use in those junk metal infested areas.

Congratulations on the nice finds.

Went back to the same small area with the snake and hunted for about a hour w/ iron discrim set at 34, rest open.

I managed 3 keepers today.

1912 V Nickel, 1945-P 40% silver Nickel and a neat loving cup trophy/chalice?, that I think is pewter.

Nice finds, Toothpick. Check that '12 V for a mintmark!
