atlantic chert question

Does anyone know or know of a website that can explain where atlantic coastal chert begins?If I were to be going west from Savannah,GA. How far inland do I need to go?

Man, this is tougher than I thought. I find tons of info and sites referring to the chert, but nothing specific such as maps, locations, etc. My best advice for you would be to contact a gem and mineral club in Ga.(there are several).
Just do a search online to find contact info. Rockhounds can provide the best info on certain areas.
