These are not seen too often so I wanted to share before it finds a new home. I've had this in my collection for 30 years and it is an excellent specimen. I had a new digital certificate and appraisal last October from Taffi's daughter who personally handled the transaction after reuniting a 4R Margarita specimen owned by Mo Molinar with Taffi for the museum's collection. It was returned with an appraised value of $2400 and is considered a high Grade 2 specimen.

A near full weight with minimal corrosion, it likely was sandwiched between others when it sank and was protected over the years on the bottom of the sea floor. It has the clear curved leg of Assayer R (Baltasar Ramos Laceta). For those that are looking to add a choice specimen from the Atocha to their collection, it is consigned with Sedwick.
