Hi , I've just bought a Garrett ATX , primarily for use on the west Australian goldfields, but at the moment am in England, I've followed the instructions to the letter in setting it up ,but it will not ground balance.
I've tried to do it at several different locations to rule out interference but I'm now pulling what little hair out I've got !! Any suggestions gratefully received,
Kind regards darwindan

Turn your sensitivity to about half, then ground balance the coil bobbing it up and down. It takes a while....maybe you are not bobbing it long enough. Give it a try. Good luck.
