Auction finds barber halfs

Came across 40 barber half dollars at a local auction. Most showing wear but still in pretty decent shape.

I agree Tommy. Silver bullion coins are always an excellent investment, with the potential for a key date to be found. Everyone has their own cutoff price when it comes to how much you are willing to pay for them. Sometimes its about the fun of looking also. I remember buying a box lot of Wheat pennies at an auction about 10 years ago. In that box was a 1922 no D Wheat, and a 1914 D Wheat. Those 2 coins more than paid for that box !! Total cost to me was $8.00. Enjoy your search Ennismill ! Even if there are no key dates, Barber Halves are a great looking coin.
Your exactly right. I payed there value, possibly a little more. But going through them last night looking at everyone of them was well worth it. I did get a few good dates.
 

Sorry, I think that $350 for 40 is a bit steep.

Melt is 6$, I payed 8.75$ per. Not that big of a deal, hard to buy at melt price if they are not absolutely wore out.
