AUGUST IN MYRTLE BEACH

I've seen a lot of night detecting in Myrtle Beach in years past. I'm sure that's still common. Avoid the crowds and heat. Good luck and have fun.

How far away is Georgetown?

They drag the beach early in the morning. Go sometime after they pull the umbrellas and chairs around 4:30 p.m. or anytime before morning. Good Luck!

That's right! I forgot about that. They have those big motorized screening things.

I always go at dusk, before I go in to shower and go out to eat

Thanks for the heads up! I'll get my lawn chair out along I-70 to save a spot for the parade.

Anyone know?
I sort of recall reading that I ought to coat the gasket on my Sandshark before I go.
How do I do it and what do I use?

No one knows about the gasket?

Sand sharks are fun to catch but I don't know much about coating them.
I use silicone grease on all connections on my Excalibur. You can pickup a small tin of silicone grease in any dive shop.

My scoop is drooling with anticipation
