Austro-Hungarian buckle

Hi,I need some help with that buckle,I know its Austro-Hungarian eagle,but can anyone tell where that buckle was used?small belt from sword?maybe someone have pictures where it was used.

If I found that in the UK, I would ID it as a Book Clasp, not a buckle. See similar:
Binding clasps | The Collation
Which makes it at least 18th C.
