I had the best 2 days!!! I got permission to hunt this old church yard in old city Philadelphia. AND I could not believe what I keep digging up..Most of the finds where 2 to 3 inches down....1786 lg cent.2-1820 lg cent..1842lg cent..1700 ish colonial copper. .has one of the kings faces on it..Cant see it to well..1833 half cent..1862 2 cent piece. .1856 flying eagle cent..that on is awesome. .but its in really bad shape..1889 v nickel. .1874 IH.and a 1871 IH....Anyway. would love to know how to clean them better?? Any suggestions? ?

Thanks..plann on going back..just got permission to hunt this other church near it..it was a hospital for the soldiers in 1777 .pretty excited about it.

Great find, To us in Oklahoma, dates that old on coins just boggle the mind.

Beyond belief that a church with that age has not been pounded. Would say it is safe to say there are very few of those left. Congrats on some truly awesome finds.

Those are some incredible finds. Congratulations. You should check some of the dates again though. The 2 centers started in 1864 and it would be awesome if you had the 1856 flying eagle cent because that one is an extremely rare date and worth a good bit of $$$. Your indian heads are pretty good dates as well. I would be psyched up to get back to a great site like that. Good luck on the return trip.

It is a 1856..there were only 2000 made..and they only proofs.
