Awesome find!!! What is it???

My buddy and I hunted a new site today. Looked so good we thought it had to have been hit before. Doesn't look like it. I found a 1893 O barber quarter, a dandy button, a broach, pistol shot and what looks like a badge of some sort with a turkey eagle on it.
No idea what it is, rev, 1812, civil? Let me know what you guys think. Thanks for looking, Mike

I think you're right. If I was unravel the bent portion is def has the same shape. Civil war or earlier?
