A friend of mine who deals with antiques called me Monday and said that he had two men who brought some things in for a lady whose husband had died. The lady had been told by the city that she had to clean up the property where all of the stuff he had collected was stored. He had collected a lot of things that my friend was very interested in purchasing. They had some artifacts that he wanted me to come look at. He said that a lot of them were broken but he knew nothing about artifacts. I went to his store Tuesday with my granddaughter to look at them thinking that he had 30-30. I was overwhelmed when he took the top off of a large trash can and begin taking them out. He told me that he had let his 4-year-old nephew take some of the bigger points. Most of them were broken but there were a lot of nice points, scrapers, and a very nice axe. My granddaughter and I had a commitment and we were not able to see all of the points/artifacts. When we had to leave I suggested that he not put the 3 points below back in the trash can for fear that they might be broken. He told me that if I wanted them he would give them to me. Needless to say I told him I would love to have them. We think that they came from Sumter County and Crisp County, GA. He told me that they were to bring in more antiques/stuff and they told him they had more points. He told me that when they brought them in he would call me. I hope you enjoy seeing them as much as I do.
