Awesome Hunts!!!! Once in a lifetime find!!!

First I just want to thank Vmiairpower07 for taking me to the watermelon patch!! These are my finds from the last 3 days. The largie and the eagle button came from the patch...I believe the button is a WMI because it says CADET above the eagle. The other button, the sword holder and.......find of a lifetime.....British rev war breast plate!!!! I only took photos of the best of the best. Jon definitely needs to go back with me and pound the whole area....same spot I found the British 19th and 63rd Foot buttons!! Jon ID'd the plate and the buttons for me. I can't believe my lucky streak lately...can't say enough about the Deus!!!

Awesome finds ..love those buttons...I'm no expert on rev war plates...but the one in the picture in the book is oval...yours is round ...kind of reminds me of a rosette...I'm not saying it isn't a rev war plate..just my first impression was rosette....if it is a British plate.banner find..congrats

Yes, because we have to exclude a horse blinker, which is that size & general shape & often has letters incised, but at this point it looks different enough to have a chance.

Sorry guys....didn't mean to mislead anybody. The patch finds were the large cent and the eagle button....everything else was from my spot in Mount P. Jon went with me the day after we hunted the patch. The breastplate/rosette/who knows thing has a crumbly lead back that is falling apart if that helps to ID the thing...I'm not home right now but I'll take a pic later...rosettes don't have lead backing do they?? I have no idea what to call it LOL!! Only reason I would say it's British is because the letters start with a dragon-like head and end with a dragon-like tail....and I found it 20 yards from where I dug the 2 different Regiments of Foot buttons (see last week's post) That is half the fun trying to identify mystery items!! Thanks to everybody who is weighing in on this, I would love to know what it is!!

Yes they do have lead backs.
With that I'm thinking more of a martingale.
