Awesome! I'm getting a Lesche 36" Land Shark!

I have a Sampson shovel which I have always liked but it is only 31" long. While this doesn't seem like a problem to most of you, it is for me. I struggle walking with a crippled foot and tend to fall a lot so I normally use a cane or walking stick. No can do while detecting so I tend to try to use the Sampson as a cane at times and it is about 5 or 6 inches short for me. So this Lesche at 36" is going to be awesome in that regards. The wife is getting a Carrot and wanted to get me something and this is what I really need the worse so YAAEEE! I also use it to help me get back up. It is very nice to get something that you will actually use for Christmas. Can't wait to get it!

Good for you! I use my shovel as an aid getting up too. Getting down is easy, I just fall!

I could use a new shovel, I’ve about worn out my NX5. I bent it prying up a root in Virginia a few years back and it’s bent back and forth a few times so I think it may snap soon. Anyone here tried the new Gravedigger shovel? They had a stand set up at pound the ground but I haven’t heard any reports from the field yet.

Got the shovel, it is awesome! perfect height for me to use as a can etc. Also got the wife's carrot so she is happy too. Now just need this rain to quit, it rained hard yesterday and rained all night and today. May quit Sunday, who knows. I like the rubber step on the shovel, I use my hand on my shovel while on my knees to dig with so this will be easier on the heel of my hand.

So Saturday I’m home remodeling my half bath and the wife is out shopping for Christmas, all of a sudden the door bell rings, it’s the mailman and he just dropped off a box. The box has a “model NX6” label on it. I wonder what it could be? I asked for a new one for Christmas (: I bent my NX5 again on Saturday , it’s just a matter of time before she snaps. I think I’m going to have a welder friend of mine make me a Frankenstein shovel from my old one, a 20 pounder with a solid steel shaft(: just in case. It’ll go threw roots like buttah!!
