I am in S.W. Texas, a little east of Big Bend N.P. When I am out metal detecting, I keep an eye out for "pretty rocks". I look at the ground in the direction of the sun and look for things that "Glint". This is a technique that works well in the desert. This worked piece I found really shined in the sunlight.
