What a day. Been too busy to really do much CRH the last day and today but at 5pm just before the banks closed I went hunting...and am so glad I did. Stoped to pick up a few odds and ends.
Picked up
1 box of halves,
$230 in halves and
$200 in dimes
$500 in dimes
$100 in nickels
$70 in halves <--- This was the fun one
Fist box skunk.
$230 had 2 64s and 8 40s and another one of those darn 1987P's
Still going though the dimes and nickels, but I have silver showing on the dimes
the 70 in hand rolls was a real surreal experience.
I walk into a bank that occasionally has some odd ball stuff. they like me because I take it away and it makes end of day counting easier because they often forget to tally halves and Ikes
I walk in and one of hte tellers says Hey! i have something for you.
I have $70 in halves that I think you would like.
Ok I said
He said they were dated on the rolls and he broke one open to count to make sure they were full and it will full of old silver ones.
Cool I said.
he opened one roll and showed me and it was a solid roll with a 64 and another and another.
WOW I though.
I handed him $70 cash and got a box of dimes and he thanked me and I left!
Well I opened them up and the 64 roll was mostly 64s with a couple 65s
The other marked rolls did not lie! they were full. But a couple had a 76 and one had an 80,
Nothing newer than that lonley 1980 the mic roll had bens in it. What a score!
So the totals for today was as follows
19 90% kens
79 40%ers
4 bens
7 silver dimes! including a 49s and that was at the end of a roll showing!
Also got a 38d nickel, Good night for odd ball and not so common!
