Hi all,

i got this bottle at a antique shop yesterday. I traded something I got for nothing and $20.00 for it. I really liked the color of it is the reason why I bought it. If my research is correct they had a paper label on them. Anyways was wondering if anyone had any thoughts on the age of the bottle. Thanks for looking.

!876-1930 or so. Google -Ayers Hair Vigor and there is the whole story. Friend with an antique store(I called her) told me your bottle dates from 1910-1920 more or less. One was on ebay for $44.95, but was told they are $75-$100 or more in the yeah, I want that, world. In other words, retail stores where collectors caress, fondle and BUY. Your bottle looks to be in great condition and the stopper is there. Nice find and a lucky deal.

Bottle is TOC and worth about $50-60 with the stopper, nice get...

Attic mint with stopper should still fetch a franklin IMO. I would spend that much if ever saw one. I have only dug broken bits of these. It's a rather scarce classic, a must have for hair tonic collectors. Very nice find.

I have only dug 1 of these in 30 years, dug it in Cripple Creek, with the stopper many, many years ago. Around here ,with the stopper, they still sell for a $100. Congrats on a very nice find !!!!

Those are very hard to find with the original stopper

Hi All,

I want to thank everyone with their help and responses to my post. I do wonder if the bottle is a peacock blue or the cobalt. i have a few other cobalt and this bottle has a differant look to it. Of course the other ones are from a differant maker. I have included better pictures of the bottle in the natural light of the sun to see if anyone has any idea. Thanks again for the help.

I've always considered them peacock blue or a teal blue.
