Hi:hello:

Haven't been finding much at the beaches these days, but because of my love of History I was pleased to find this copper Aztec Eagle Warrior motif copper ring.

The history of Aztec Eagle warriors is so very interesting ; here is the Wikipedia link to info on these warriors for those who may be interested:
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Eagle_warrior

The ring gave off a loud, strident sound, and I thought it might be some type of heavy metal tubing, but upon recovery ( about 8" deep...wet sand slope) saw it was a ring with images on the band

I cleaned it up and hope you will like the photos of the ring.

I believe it is copper, and probably hand made...not sure, but it looks to be that.

Thanks for looking

Good luck out there to all!:headbang:

Lorraine

P.S. Please ignore the above post info regarding the ring find; it is not an Aztec Warrior motif ring; I was mistaken, and thanks to AARC's research, I can correct myself on this ring's identity. Please check out AARC's post below.

Apologies for the misinformation.....truly embarrassing!:BangHead:

Thanks for the correction , AARC; I sure missed that one; had seen a photo of a similar ring listed as an Aztec Warrior ring, but obviously I mistook it for a thunderbird ring.

I appreciate the corrected information; astute research on your part:headbang:

There are very faded letters ( possibly one is an "R") , and some type of symbol inside the band.

Vintage Copper thunderbird ring... heh...
Does it have the "solid copper" mark ?

If others missed that one - bound to be others out there too they missed - keep it up

Very cool Lorraine!

nice ring!!!

your style of ring, along with AARC's ID, pointed me in the right direction to identify the bracelet I found this morning.... good job by you!

No matter what type of ring, its still a beautiful ring. Congrats!

I found a silver one earlier this week. Mine is marked sterling with a symbol that looks like it has an arrow and so thing else. I'll take a pic of it and post it later. Congratulations on the ring find.

Sounds like it might be a Bell Trading Post ring.

That's the Bell Trading Post makers mark...you can search Bell Trading Post and get the history on it...I found one of their rings a few years ago and that's when I learned about them.
