Objects in the river next to the old WWII Army hospital, the lock still had the key in it, was a Navy lock, with 'USN' printed on it.

Ceramic oil bottle from a WWII Army Hospital dump, says 'Germany' on the bottom, maybe a souvenir from the war, dug from a foot deep under the mud.

Looks like a good place for old relics. It's kinda slim pickings out west. You folks back east got layers of history to dig through. The mining camps out here were pretty short lived boom than bust. Still it's fun to get out and have a look.

Yeah, but don't you have natural gold? I would love to hunt in a state with natural gold, there is none in NY and even if there was there is a law on the books since the 18th century saying it is illegal to keep any natural gold in NY State, don't know if it's enforced though what with there being no actual natural gold to find to begin with :laughing7:

That's very cool, I would love to see that WW2 ceramic bottle all cleaned up!! Good eye

Yeah, there's gold and it's fun to look for, but if you think you'll get rich off of finding it the odds are pretty well stacked against you. There's a lot of stories of those who struck it rich, but more than those are the untold stories of the failures and those who lost just about everything they had in pursuit of gold.

Looks awesome I lived in Az beautiful country

Love the bottle! That water is so clear. Congrats on the finds.

Cool place to hunt! :occasion14:
