It's been a very long time since I posted on any detector forums, mainly because I haven't had time to get out and detect. I see a few old cronies on here from the old Bounty Hunter website forum. I'm getting some time off now from working so much, so I'm getting back to my favorite hobby...metal detecting and I am considering upgrading from by current setup. I've been swinging a Discovery 3300 (the light gray Radio Shack model) when I could get out. I have the 4", 8", and 10" coils (all "calibrated" or "matched" to the machine when the factory still did that), extra lower rods for each coil, coil covers, a Wizard VibProbe II (the old gun style), Radio Shack premium headphones with individual volume controls, an extension cable for the headphones, and a Bounty Hunter bag/case to put it all in.
The question is, IF I decide to upgrade, what would be a fair asking price for this setup. It would be a complete starter kit for someone and has hardly been used. I kind of hate to sell it, but am considering the BH Platinum or a Fisher CZ3D. I am mostly a coinshooter, but prefer to hunt older homesites for older vintage coins. That really gets my blood going.
Thanks for taking the time to read my post. Hope to hear from y'all real soon. It feels good to be back.
