Back at the field I found my 1773 1 Real. Not as much promise, but a few CW bullets.

The other day as I posted I had an hour hunt before work and I found two 3 ringers, a 1773 Spanish 1 Real and a 1798 Draped Bust Large Cent. Well as of yet it's not showing AS much promise as I was hoping for, but we're talking a field that 4 or 5 football fields could fit into. Anyway I pulled a few fired bullets, that being two 3 ringers and a fired .69 caliber. That's only my 3rd .69 that I have dug in Winchester, VA. Also got only my second dropped Williams Cleaner bullet which was pretty cool. Over 300 bullets and have only found 2 of them. Also found a coin, but this one was far off from 1773. A 1944 wheat. All in all it's a big field, I'm sure there's some more keepers in there. Just a lot of walking and pretty hard to grid. Anyone got any pointers or tips on gridding out large fields? Thanks for looking and HH!

The ramrod impression on the bottom right bullet is cool. You have been spoiled lately with incredible finds. Most people would be very happy to dig a 1944 and those bullets Matt. At least, that F75 can cool off a little Bud-LOL. HH, Q.

Way to go!! Like Quindy said, somebody was really pushing hard to load that bullet, the should have used that Cleaner and then it may have loaded easier, LOL. Maybe there are still a few more of those .69's in there i would love to dig one!

I was definitely happy to dig those! I was happy to just be digging at all. Won't be long work will be full swing again and I won't have these days to go out. You're right, maybe my F75 is cooling down, but it BETTER warm back up when I go out on Sunday! lol HH
