Well I had a grand plan to go way down stream on my new creek and hunt up to where I started last weekend, so I walked 2 miles down a dirt road and fell off into the bottom , found the creek and took off. I started finding pottery, then a scraper, then another, then a preform I just knew I was going to hit it big today. I found the fossilized deer antler and I was on cloud 9, but then I noticed the creek was getting smaller and then I came upon some cutover that was to be on my right ,but it was on my left. I had gotten into a smaller creek that I did not know about (duh):icon_scratch:but it was still fun and I did find some artifacts.View attachment 855012View attachment 855016View attachment 855017View attachment 855018View attachment 855019View attachment 855023View attachment 855027Oh well there is always next time.

Lol that is a good day nice stuff I like number 3

Does any of the pottery have designs on them? I find allot of slate that is stained from the creek that looks just like pottery. Its usually heavier than pottery. Do you find that type in your area also? Looks like you did find quite a bit of artifacts.

Cool finds. Do you think that was a drop tine ? Sure has some age. I am liking your creek. We went today on Chickamauga and the current was way fast and to high. Nice looking core also.

Just looking at the base it is a drop.

Looks & feels like a honey hole. So Happy for you. Kat

Cool color on that tine. The tools/knife are nice saves. I would be checking for the source of that pottery. Its most likely close by.
