After two trips without finding silver at my private club location, I managed to mine a nice 1943 Mercury in stunning condition!

Also found just a few other coins in the 3.5 hours spent digging today, including 1956 & 1957 wheat's.

And just to tease you, below is a glimpse of the Club's building, which is set to be demolished within the next 6-months, maybe sooner.
This dig is where today's sliver Merc was dug.

And another shot of a little bit of the 13 acre grounds (I was thinking it was only 5 acres in another post, but found out differently.

That Merc made it all the way east from our neck of the woods! :icon_thumleft:

A nice spot with nice finds! Love the merc!

Nice looking place! Is there a boat ramp on the property?

No launch, and currently no access to the lake. There is about a 100' drop to lake level, with a railroad that runs along the lake.

Buyers are tearing down the old club, and building a hotel with micro brewery in its place, then condo's and townhouses down overlooking the lake, and I believe they plan lake access and boat docks.

It looks like you found "the spot!" Congratulations on the cool finds.

There a 100' drop on land in Florida? :icon_scratch::laughing7:

I know of a 180' drop from land in Florida, but you'd be underwater at the bottom of a spring after 5'! :occasion14:

But I am in upstate New York until our summer place's sale is closed in a few weeks!

nice spot if there going to tear it down would be nice to look under those floor boards
