Detector(s) used
Garrett AT Pro, 8.5"x11" DD coil, Super Sniper coil, Garrett Ace 250, 10" x 14" DD EXcelerator coil, Pro Pinpointer
Primary Interest:
All Treasure Hunting
The rain today kept me from working but not detecting :) So I went back to button hill and gridded an old hot spot area and it paid off. Ended up with 17 buttons, 1803 Half Cent, 1858 Flying Eagle, iron stirrup, iron skeleton key, lead pencil, lead sinker, and a few other goodies. While I was walking out I got the flying eagle and a Tombac button. Sure glad I had the detector going and not just turned off.

New button total from this property: 202

Thanks for looking and HH!

Wow awesome finds brother...

Wow Ryan what a result that is. Must be nice to have such a productive hunt when you prob weren't expecting so much great quantity from a spot you've hit before. That half cent is a great recovery(never found one) and the FE looks as though it's in decent condition( never found one lol)

Amazing finds. The coins are in much better condition than I would expect to find around here, and why in the world are there so many buttons coming from that hill? Just curious to know?

Nice hunt Ryan..
Looks as though you found part of a jew harp?? And a real lead pencil...
Also that HC and FE..Are in fantastic shape...

Love to see what would turn up at your site with the new version of the F75.

What a nice pile of buttons! And the coins aren't too shabby either. :hello2:

What a great hunt a Half cent and a Flying Eagle with some relics it doesn't get much better.

Thanks All!

Thanks man!
With the wet weather the signals just keep popping up, our overall button total is 447. We should hit 500 before 2015!

Just what kind of rain dance did you have to do? I would love to find a FE. Incredible site!

Wow ! The Drape Bust is in very nice shape as is the Flying Eagle ! both are bucket list coins for me - Is the back as nice on the FE ?

I must agree with Ahab8 , those coins came up in nice shape.

Davers

It's the nicest FE I've dug yet. Came in just like a pull tab... 65 on the ATPro at 3".

We are guessing there was a colonial home site or two on the property. And they lost a lot of buttons, lol.

Nice grouping of coins and relics, I love the Half Cent!

Yeah they were strippers on that site, very quick to rip there clothes off, passionate bunch, buttons were flying everywhere, lol haaaaaa.
All those buttons were probably covering up allot of coin signals? Here is a link to your half cent, only 97,900 minted (I read some more, might be as high as 300,000). I'm surprised its not worth much more for such a low mint?

1803 1/2C MS Draped Bust Half Cents | NGC
There were only four varieties, might want to check that out with a coin dealer just to see what you really have there. Looks like a pretty good strike compared with a couple of the pix on the different varieties.

Great finds as usual from a great site, congrats!
