Hey diggers.
Well its been over three years since I hit this place. Thought I had cleaned it out but I was wrong.

I have found so much at this place, it would have to be my most successful location, and it's a beautiful place to spend a few hours hunting.

First i found the little silver elephant earring, then the crappy little 1c coins, then I found one of the better coins I have ever found, the 1918 English Florin. Then I finished up with a couple of threepence coins.

Was suprised to see an English coin that late here in Aus as we had been minting our own since 1910.

Thanks for looking.

Nice!! The Florin is a good looking coin, congrats!!!!!

That Florin is a nice find ! Aren't those .925 before 1920 ?

Great finds- I think it's hard to find a truly "hunted-out" site..

Very nice finds. I like that English Florin.

Nice!!! Congrats!!!

That is a beautiful coin indeed. Sweet save!!

Nice job on those

Looks like an awesome place to hunt, congrats! :occasion14:

Very cool! I was looking to hit some parks here, but got scared to bring my shovel over because it had soil and looks like a dagger, which I read were a NO NO to bring in the country. Beautiful coin!

It would be good if you had the time and means to get out into the rural parts of the state while you are here.
My trick is to use a long flat head screw driver to lever any targets out of the ground, and i wear a high-vis work shirt. I have never had any issues even when working some nice sports grounds when the greens keeper rocks up.

Really is a great time of the year for it, as the days are warm but not hot, and the ground is soft.

Hope you enjoy your visit down under.

Thanks Hawks88, it is a great place to hunt, there are no houses anywhere near. Is a very quiet and forgotten part of the country.
