I don't normally detect schools, my passion is Gold Rush sites, relics and such but I had the itch to get out and was out of town with family and saw this school that looked pretty good. I spent about an hour on the front grass area. The rest of the school was locked up tight. Anyway I found the usual clad, a toy elephant and this 1920 merc dime. It's been a while since I heard that distinct scream of silver and it was nice. Hope everyone got enough to eat yesterday!

I am quite often surprised at the items I find at school yards......awhile back i found a confedreate half dollar...it said COPY on the reverse. Looked real though, except for the new "nickel" shine.
