Back to Swingin after a 30 year break, Cool First Find

Had a White's 5000D back in the day, and never really found much. Decided to give detecting another try, and just bought a used F70. Took it out in the woods where I know there's an 1880s farm house site (and possibly older). The house was bulldozed, so the site is loaded with trash.

Learned two things...

1) I REALLY need a pinpointer.

2) This F70 is able to weed out a lot of trash.

Spent a few hours. No coins yet, but found a really cool brass railroad baggage tag (not sure what its doing in the Maryland woods), a few round balls, and lot of junk. Will hit this site again when I have a pinpointer. Not a bad day for just kicking the tires on this thing.

Hey, congrats on the find! A lot of times, it's cooler to find something like that instead of a dime or something. BTW, it's nice to see that I'm not the only one who has been in and out of this hobby for thirty years!!

Thanks all, for the kind words and encouragement.

Garrett pinpointer ordered. Also a little more sore than I thought I'd be from walking back out of the woods. Long uphill climb, and I'm not in as good a shape as I once was.
