I got out today with my two detecting buddies George NJ and Donny NJ from the American Relic Hunters forum. We hit a beach here on the Jersey shore for a couple hours this morning. Found some clad but not too much. Then Donny finds a acorn looking charm. A couple minutes later I find the .925 cross. Less than five minutes later George scoops up a purple 1938 quarter. That was about it. I started heading homeward, but it was still early so I grabbed a burger hit another beach closer to home. Wound up with 19 mems, 9 dimes, 3 quarters, 2 nickels, the silver cross, a 1964-1965 New York World's Fair medallion encased in plastic. I thought it was a encased gold coin at first. The usual sinkers and fishing stuff. The cross has some Russian or Polish writing on the back of it. All in all it was still a fun but cold day.

Sleeper most of the time when I find these lures the treble hooks are gone or just about gone. I just put new ones on em. Good as new.

Hey Mike. Some neat stuff you found. Do you have any better pictures of the front & back of the encases item? Congrats.

Man,
That is cool. It has to be in very good shape being encased. Thanks for those pictures.

Yeah whenever I find a soldier he immediately assumes the position of "Treasure Protector" for the photos. ;D
I too like seeing what everyone else finds. Adds to the hobby for me at least. Gets me pumped up to find something good.
Happy Hunting, Mike
