Headed back up to the cabin today to do a little more digging. Decided I was going to metal detect an area I tried will real quick before but there was just to much trash so I figured I'd get it next time I came up. So I decided to sift the dirt today and find out what all the trash was and as you can see from the picture all those square nails are from a 6 x 8 area. So it's going to be a tough one around what I think was an old work area that seems to be older than the cabin by a few years. There is also a bunch of melted glass all around makes me wonder if it could've been a blacksmith area. So I found some more bullet casings with no markings another shotgun shell bottom which is a UMC company number 12 club. A cool knife which I broke getting it out of the ground and couple buttons a cool little snap button still snapped on together with nothing but a patent number on the front.not too much but fun anyway
