After a day on the road Saturday, I dropped my Dad off and headed back to the city park where I found the silver ring.
From what I'm digging it seems that no one has detected here for awhile.

I pretty much grid-searched a small area and then tested two other spots.

Did find 3+ dollars in clad, remains of an Eisenhower Museum pin, a religious pin, an old circular lead piece, and....another ring. This one is copper with a surface plating but is an interesting Roman numeral ring with numbers 1 through 6.

Happy hunting and thank you for checking out the finds!

Good assortment of finds...looks like you had a GOOD DAY!

Thanks Scruggs. It was a dime day. This place has more dimes than anything else.

Thanks Art! The ring was shallow. The "gold" tone had me goin' for just a bit.

Congrats on getting out and enjoying the hobby. Dimes are the smallest coin and are easily hid by the blades of grass. I often wonder how the large halves and dollar coins get lost due to their size.

Thanks for the post,
The Roman Numerals Ring is pretty cool
Congrats

That's the great thing about parks - you are guaranteed a wide variety of finds; and you landed some nice ones. Congrats!

Thanks L-D! I see what you mean; you'd likely not see a lost dime. Got out for a short hunt this AM and found little of note, except a 135 y.o. penny. Last IHP was on May 5th. Very happy to see this one in the hole today.

Thanks Tommy G. This place has some potential. Pretty much a mid-20th century neighborhood.

Thanks ATW. It was pretty cool to find back-to-back rings from the same park.

Thanks Tuberale. Looks like we have an interesting hunt planned for Thursday. Stay tuned and thanks for your comments.
