So today I loaded up the ole etrac and headed up to what I believe is an old village. It's a good 2 mile hike and in the past I have found an 1802 lc and a 2 cent piece. But today I hit the hole next to it. The best thing about this area is the lack of modern garbage. No pull tabs for me today! After a good hike up the wagon rd covered with ferns I made it to my destination. I turned on the machine and hit it hard. My first two targets are two military buttons one an artillery cuff button and the other a staff officer button I believe. Just curious are they civil war or post? Unfortunately the staff officer button is missing the back and the artillery button is rusty. Next I got a really nice bell with the clacker still in it, it has a really nice sound to it! Then going around the edge of the center chimney cellar hole I got the new haven clock co pocket watch which is a first to find a complete one. Still working the edge I got an 11/46 signal which I thought would be silver but turned out to be an 1838 lc fourth one for the year! Then finally up came the gold gilted convex button with a Kendrick and Leavenworth back mark I'm astounded with amount of gilt still on it. All an all it was a good day and thanks for looking - Justin
