Got in 2 hours today, found a spoon at 7", bunch of paper shotshell heads, a big horse shoe and round top thing that I am not sure what it was used for.
Hoping I'm getting close to house site with the spoon find, it seems old. Screenshot_20181028-182531.webpScreenshot_20181028-182634.webp20181028_205654.webp

Nice assortment of finds Nick79. Thanks for sharing...

Excellent, if this homesite was a farm the whole woods could have scattered treasures. In my area i look for lilacs. They aren't native to here and are normally planted no further than the outhouse from the main house. Goodluck!

Agree. Lilacs or daffodils out of place in the woods is a good sign. Gary

Nice finds! :icon_thumleft: Keep searching and you'll find the house!

Thanks all, around my area they used periwinkle and that's what I usually look for. This site has a bunch

Also look for fruit trees in the woods where they don't belong. I was hunting old truck parts in a local junk yard last year. It was in an area where there were many colonial estates there were wild grape vines and the grapes were great fat purple babies, definitely not possum grapes. They were ripe so plucked a fat one and it said with authority, Pinot Noir or something close. A dead giveaway but covered with auto parts and scrap.

Nice finds, Keep swingin!

Congratulations on the nice finds! :occasion14:

Nick,

Nice job!!! I love relic hunting, my partner Truth he prefers old parks and houses, which I like as well, he say's relic hunting's just not his cup of tea!!! Lol

Anyhow I really like the spoon and that nice front mule shoe!!! Every time I find a mule or horse shoe I keep them, I never throw them away, nor do I ever throw stirrups or spurs away either...

Also I see you found a nice assortment of 12th Georgia buttons rolling-on-the-floor-laughing-smiley-emoticon.gif, Just kidding, I've had my fill of Shotgun shell's and dug plenty in the past.

Again great job and thanks for sharing... "D"

Thanks, I prefer relics over park coin shooting myself, but a gold ring is always welcomed haha
