We were back, hunted an hour and a half with no luck when I got a signal that sounded sweet. I told my boy to come over and check out the signal. I said "what number did it tell you?" he said "83" I said "sounds good dig it" and I waited around the other side of a few pines till he came over with a big grin on his face. "It's a 44 Merc dad!"

I love it when a plan comes together
Wish I could go back in time and been there in 1970!

very nice find and nice condition. WTG

Crisp looking merc, and the razor is pretty cool too!

AWESOME find Guys! Congrats on the sweet silver.

Very nice, good job
Any chance that razor is silver?
Looks old.

Thats a nice merc brad, but the time w your son is by far much better, my son was with me when I found my first ever silver, also a merc, we held that measly little dime up in the air as if we were worshipping it, that memory is something well both hold on to for a long time.

Nice hunt!

Nice hunt!

It's all about the memories, we did the same about a year and a half ago, found four silvers that night
Thanks

Really nice detailed Merc and old razor! Nice saves!

I found the "Ever-Ready BKLYN. N.Y. U.S. PAT. APP'D FOR" A similar one, on E-Bay selling for 39.00 There were a few company's, Gem/Ever-Ready/Star Razor
This one was circa 1919

We had allot of fun yesterday, we are going to knock on a couple doors today starting later this morning.
Thank you.

Nice recoveries and better memories, been a few complete razors found in the past month on here, hope yours cleans up well. I recovered a great example of a Gem jr. a few weeks back. Very interesting to see the progression of items we still use today. Be safe

Brad,

You boys just can't leave those mercs alone.:laughing7:

Good hunting today dude!!

GOD Bless

Chris

Thanks guys, we just got home from knocking on doors, did a yard hunt, I found seven little cars, my son found a couple and then just clad. Fun hunt.

I had a similar hunt this year with a similar razor, a merc, and an IHC.
