Bad day

well, i was able to go to this small modern park close to my house and my MD slipped from my hands ( had to close the car door) and broke on the cement. When i turned it on, it was giving false readings and phantom targets. I tried to work it, but it could only positivly identify targets on top of the ground, which was a penny and a dime. It will take two to three weeks to repaer, and that is after i get back from vacation. Don't expect anypost for a while.

Wow GC I am really sorry to hear that...that bites big time....Hope you can get it fixed and it wont cost much...cant you send it off before you leave on vacation! In the meantime you will have to spend your time researching and eyeballing....hit those bottle dumps!

Well, I know what I would do if mine broke..........I'd start swearing and I don't do that much. . Too bad you won't have it for your vacation.

I know the feeling. UPS broke mine and I had to deal with all their BS paperwork. All you can do is be patient and wait! Luckily I had a backup. Monty

I'm soooo sorry about your MD! I had to send mine in for repair and the withdrawal was horrible! I finally took my son's cheapo BH and used that! It at least kept me calm until mine came back and it was just before we were going on vacation too. My hubby finally called them and told them that detecting was a big part of where we were going on vacation and they kindly bumped it up in line. Had it back in about four days after the phone call. Good luck!

I feel your pain maaan!! My first wife opened our pickup door and watched my new detector hit the pavement.
If we had been in Reno Nevada, I would have divorced her much earlier.

wow , sorry about that. my xlt that I'm going to use as back up is on the blink. some time,s the screen gos were you just can see a few lines and some time a half a screen. i guess its time for a tune up from white,s hope you get yours fixed soon

Hello, well, the detector is really screwed ad it will be 2-3 weeks to get it back. My sister has a cheap-o detecter which has so far found -10 cents ( lost a dime while testing). Also the 2-3 weeks whitout a working metal detector will be on tuesday( broke it during vacation)

At least i can do some reserch and clean and orginize finds( especially the gold pearl enhancer)
