Stopped in to bank of america to dump $500 of halves (rolled) as I always do. Teller tells me they are now no longer allowed to take rolled coin in exchange for cash ON THE SPOT. "we're taking losses.......chucky cheese coins....etc." I could however deposit it and the funds would be available to me within 24 hours. I also asked her if this policy was company-wide, she said yes. So naturally I walked right on out of there since I had a fresh box waiting for me this afternoon, I couldn't wait no 24 hours. SO I went to another BofA 5 minutes away and they exchanged it no problem. Maybe that other teller just didn't want to deal with it..... FYI to all CRHers: Bank of America may be implementing this policy across the board soon. Maybe all branches haven't gotten the memo yet.
