the one side is a rooster standing on a rectangular block that has the lettersC R READ stamped into it under it is the number 1560 -- there looks like a little bit of arabic writing on either side of the rooster

on the other side is a sunburst flower type design in the center --- with the number 1250 with a odd scroll or lettering type pattern along the outer rim

this one has me stumped folks . so theres a prize for the solver of what it is. -- 2 nederlandes antillen square nickles as they are commanly called --dated 1965 and 1967. so off we go .

yep -- a sweet find indeed ---- a arabic date of 1250 AH ( the island of sumatra was muslim thus the arabic style date -- the old arabic spice traders introduced islam there many years before) the arabic date of 1250 (AH) is equal to a english date of 1834--- so 1834 singapore trade token ( 174 years old !!!) ----- so its --case closed --solved

As noted above, the 1250 date is "AH" (Islamic year). The Gregorian date ('ours') equates to about 1834 or 1835.
