No war nicks....sorry. It's interesting; put any one of those next to a modern nickel and ask a non crh person which is a game token and which is real. They're gonna pick one from history. Those are beautiful! Today's coins look like something off the floor at a Chuck E Cheez!

Interesting to find those 68-D in uncirculated condition.

On a bit of a tangent, has anyone else noticed that the well circulated examples of later years Jefferson nickel obverse, the years with the 'strengthened design', look considerably worse than the earlier years?
I have noticed this effect on Kennedy halves too. While the revised designs are OK on proof and business strikes with minimal wear, they just don't look 'right' on worn coins.
