The Barley came in yesterday & the loose straw is still on the ground not bailed up, but we were keen to try the stubble. This field we named Bag Seal City had been one of our top producers last year after a deep plough & it was where I got my oldest Roman Coin ever at 112/1BC:

However, after 2.5 hours with only 4 scrappies & not much else (Picture 1.), we decided to move back to the spot we scouted on our last outing.
After lunch we gridded on 1 of the '6 Bonus Fields' & I got a hammered on the 2nd run, so the plan B was working & so was our previous scouting mission (because 2 of the fields we tried were near busts).
3.5 Hours:
9 Roman Coins - 1 Rare Licinius I
4 Lead Tokens
17th C Leather Mount
13th C Medieval annular Brooch
Finally a Big Hammered of Lizzy I 1574 Six Pence
