After the bank in which I have an account at told me a few weeks back they will now charge 10 bucks for a box of halfs, last week one of my non-account banks cut my dime boxes off because I am not a customer. This morning my account bank told me that I now need to order my penny thru quarter boxes in advance. This is a problem for me since I can only pick up on Saturday, and I don't always know in advance if I will even be home on a given Saturday. Had to go to another bank and feign interest in setting up an account to smooth the way for a box of nickels which they only give to customers. I got 28 pre 1960 which is the most I have gotten in a single box, but nothing special - I need a war nickel for my type set. I also got skunked on 10 rolls of dimes. 0n a high note I was dropping off an old box of halves from under my bed and I worked the reject tray on the 2nd machine which was not being used. I found a 64 dime. While they were changing the bags on my half-dollar dump, I dumped some misc coins in the 2nd machine and a few came out, dragging along with it some one else dumps and I got a second 1964 rosie. So while the banks are trying to run me out of the CRH biz I have a new and quicker way of getting silver - make small dumps at the coin machines and play for the rejected silver of others. In the past week I have 6 rosies and one silver quarter from the reject bin.
