Met up with Nepa-Will this morning for some woods hunting, lemme tell ya it was hotter than freakin Bagdad out, and the bugs were terrible, I swear will was trying to kill me lol, lasted a little over an hr and decided jeans, humidity, and bugs weren't a good mix, will had to go home, so i changed into shorts and headed for a permission I tried to secure in may, the lady gave me her number and said call In September, she gladly said yes so I hit it as best I could in the blaring sun and humidity, 1st target was the 43 merc, managed a 1898 barber, 1888 indian, no date buff, a neat agricultural pin, and 13 wheats, lock, and pocketwatch, man I can't wait til fall, there's plenty of more yard left, thanks for looking and hh!!

Nice digs, nice to find some silver. The old padlock is pretty sweet with the little scene on it. Good job!
Thanks JC!, that lock gave a smoking signal, I thought for sure it was a silver half or Large cent

Haha, hot as hell, I agree. Even here on the East coast... :)

Great hunt. J Cache. :)
Thanks Gio, lol but you said great hunt to JCache lol!

Great day!!

There should be more there waiting for you to return. Maybe before you make that return trip you'll get a couple days of rain to help even more.
Yeah we definitely need rain here, there was a few spots in the yard that weren't totally dry, but most was dust...

Excellent hunt ,, quite the variety.
That looks like a Buffalo Bill lock. lol
Thanks, if it wasn't for the heat, im sure id have more!

Nice finds. Congrats on the silver scores too.
Thanks Pong!

What are you going to tell me come winter. " it's too cold". Wish I could have stayed out, but the only bucket list I was working on was the one the wife gave me. Glad you were able to turn the day around. Great finds! The lock is awesome
Thanks will, not this year, im refusing to let 8 months of winter keep me stuck indoors, for the tundra im using this: 98367.jpg lol!

A lot of great finds posted there . And some time ago I found a huge sterling silver ring associated with the future farmers of America the FFA.
ive never even heard of FFA before this, pretty cool!

Looks like you were successful despite the conditions.

Some nice saves!

You know, it's funny but there are a LOT of bosses out there who would love for their employees to work 1/10th as hard as we do. ;)

Thanks gary, I hear ya about the "work" man I swear I was getting delirious from the heat, I know I started to get dehydrated because each time I knelt down to dig, my eyeballs felt like they were gonna pop out of my head from the pounding headache, ended up calling it quits way earlier than anticipated!

Can I send my gf? You'll need a guide if you're going to the Sheffield area and I always like the alone time lol. I usually buy her tickets to Ft. Myers for Christmas. A vacation for both of us...her in Fla and me here with just the boxers!
